Karen Tabloff, LCSW is an Arizona-licensed clinical social worker who brings decades
of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate grief, anxiety,
depression, and major life transitions. She offers therapy to children, and adults,
supporting clients as they build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and find steadier
footing during seasons that feel overwhelming or uncertain.
One of Karen’s greatest strengths is how relatable she is as a human being. Clients
often share that they feel genuinely seen and understood with her—like they don’t have
to perform, over-explain, or “have it all together” to be welcome in the room. Karen
creates a calm, safe space where people can show up exactly as they are, without
judgment, and begin to untangle what’s hurting with compassion and clarity.
Karen also has a wonderful sense of humor, and she uses it thoughtfully in therapy as a
tool for connection and healing. When the moment is right, she’ll bring gentle humor to
ease tension, help clients feel more at home, and make room to breathe—without ever
minimizing what someone is going through. For many clients, that balance of warmth,
sincerity, and lightness makes it easier to open up, stay engaged in the work, and feel
hope again.
Karen’s background includes extensive experience supporting people through grief and
life transitions, including hospice and bereavement care, and she brings that same
grounded steadiness to therapy—especially when emotions run high or family dynamics
feel complicated.
She draws from a range of approaches, including brief therapy, cognitive-based
strategies, and expressive/creative modalities when helpful, tailoring care to each
client’s needs and goals.
Whether a client is processing loss, managing anxiety, working through depression, or
seeking healthier connections, Karen offers a supportive partnership that is practical,
compassionate, and deeply human.
