Questions To Ask
Depending on your specific plan, services may be covered in full or in part. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your mental health benefits. Here are some helpful questions to ask:
- Does my plan include mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible, and has it been met?
- Do I need prior authorization or a referral from my primary care physician?
If you have any questions or need assistance verifying your benefits, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under federal law:
- Providers must give patients who don’t have insurance—or who are not using insurance—an estimate of the expected charges for medical services.
- This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- You are entitled to receive a written Good Faith Estimate at least 1 business day before your non-emergency services.
- You can request an estimate before you schedule a service.
- If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more above your estimate, you can dispute the charges.
Be sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
